Description
- Freshwater eel with a rich, fatty flavour.
- Popularly prepared as kabayaki: grilled and basted in a savoury sweet sauce.
- Ideal for traditional dishes like unadon, served over a bed of rice.
Eel, water, soy sauce (fermented soybeans, fermented wheat, salt, water), glucose syrup, less than 2% of sugar, caramel (colour), annatto (colour), modified food starch, xantham gum, water, glutinous rice, disodium inosinate, disodium guanylate.
Remove the vacuum-sealed packaging and thaw in the refrigerator before cooking. Preheat the oven to 175°C/350°F and bake for 10 to 12 minutes, or until the centre is soft (depending on the fillet size). Serve immediately.
Broiled Eel often contains small bones, but rest assured, they are harmless and completely safe to eat.
