The cob or canocchia (Squilla mantis) is a crustacean of the Squillidae family that can reach a maximum length of 20 cm. In common language, it is sometimes called "sea cicada", a term also used for Scyllarus arctus, a species belonging to a different family and order with which it should not be confused.
