Since fresh basil is not available all year round, dried basil is an alternative. Dried basil is richer in flavour as compared to fresh basil. Grown on one of the finest herb plantations of Calabria this basil is a staple of Mediterranean cookery. Dry basil is more delicate than the fresh variety. It is called upon in several Italian and Provençal dishes and can accompany any tomato-based recipe. It blends seamlessly with garlic, savoury, lemon, or thyme.
