Our story

Sapori D’Italia was born over 40 years ago in Sicily, from a family’s devotion to preserving the flavours of their homeland. Surrounded by the hills where PDO Genovese basil thrives, the founders began crafting authentic pesto using traditional methods and locally grown ingredients. Over the decades, their passion expanded into a wide range of sauces, pastes, and antipasti, always rooted in quality, freshness, and respect for Ligurian culinary heritage, making the brand a trusted ambassador of Italian taste. Even though the brand originated in Sicily, its pesto production later moved to Liguria, the revered home of Genovese basil (PDO). A modern production facility was established there, offering direct access to the freshest local basil and enabling full traceability from farm to fork. Today, with a modern facility ensuring full traceability, Sapori D’Italia blends Sicilian passion with Ligurian authenticity.
