Our story

Rummo traces its heritage back to 1846, when Antonio Rummo established a mill and began producing pasta in Benevento, Campania—a region known for its pure waters and fine grain. Still family-run into its sixth generation, Rummo pioneered the Lenta Lavorazione® method—meticulously slow kneading and drying using bronze dies—resulting in pasta with exceptional al dente resistance, even after extended cooking. The brand is also the first in the world to have its cooking performance certified by a third party (Bureau Veritas). Rummo has received accolades for both quality and environmental innovation, including awards from Legambiente and the President of Italy. With modern facilities in Benevento and a gluten‑free line produced at Novara, its reach extends across 45 countries—and climbing—as it continues to delight chefs and food lovers globally.
